A warm welcome to you, whether you have come to put
down your roots in Devizes, or are simply visiting us today. St James' Church,
Southbroom has always had a reputation of being a friendly family of people and
we hope you have found us that way today, whether you are a family of one or
many.
For me, Church is about coming together with all sorts
of different people in all sorts of situations and finding the presence of God.
The life of the Church should reflect the dynamic ministry of Jesus where people
relate inwards to one another, upwards to our God, and outwards into the
community. St James is a broad church which aims to encourage all sorts of
people who have one thing in common - that is, they are seeking to understand
more the mystery of God and why he has given us his gift of love. With that gift
of love we are able to help one another along the road of life, at different
speeds and different routes, but with one destination in sight, to know Christ
better and make him better know
